- Modern Enlarger Prints - The prints here are printed in the 'modern' (pre-digital) method of printing small negatives onto larger sized papers using an enlarger. Odd as it may sound, an enlarger is basically a camera used backwards. The lenses used in these photographs are generally from the 1800's although one favourite lens is a relative newcomer, dating from approx 1910. Most of these types of lenses do not even have a shutter on them. Depending on which camera is used, there may be a rubber bulb-operated Packard or Studio type shutter.
